Old boys' talk over grammar school days

More than 100 'old boys' travelled from far and wide on Saturday evening to reminisce about their days at the former Soham Grammar School.

Organised by Roger Lane, the evening's main attraction was an after dinner speech by former headteacher Edward Armitage. Also attending were six other members of staff who worked at the school before its demise in 1972.

Mr Lane said ex-pupils had come from as far as Cornwall and Newcastle for the dinner:"It was a lovely occasion and the time spent organising it was well worth it," he said.
